Today I start my 2nd phase of studying for the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst plus after completing the Udemy Jason Dion prep material. Over the course of the next week I’ll be memorizing/understanding the certification exam objectives while taking test on multiple platforms. At the end of the week I will do a self-evaluation and determine if I’m ready for the exam the following week.
I already started looking at the next course material I want to take because eLearning Security is currently doing a sale on blue team certification. One of the certifications I have been looking at for some time is the Incident Handling & Response Professional certification because it would give me the hand on experience I’m lacking since all their test are practical. I would be put in to a VPN network to actively identify and defend from attacks, and at the end submit a report for reiew.
My goal is right now is to complete the CySA+ (Cybersecurity Analyst) and the OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional) by the end of the year. I might be able to include the Incident Handling & Response Professional since the amount of time it takes me to learn new cyber security material is short due to my passing for it.
See you next time!
